STORE CLERK - CLEANER.

Purpose of Role: -
A supermarket night cleaner ensures the store is hygienic, safe, and fully prepared for customers the next morning. Key duties include deep cleaning floors with industrial machinery, sanitizing high-touch surfaces, cleaning restrooms, removing waste, and maintaining the main store and warehouse and dining areas tidiness.

Key Essential, Core Responsibilities, Objectives and General Cleaning:
Floor Maintenance:
Using industrial floor scrubbers, sweepers, and polishers to clean, sanitize, and polish floors throughout the store.
Vacuum carpets and rugs to remove dirt and debris.
Deep Cleaning:
Cleaning and disinfecting high-touch areas, including shelves, surfaces, mirrors, sinks etc.
Wipe down surfaces, such as checkout counters, shelves, and display cases.
Clean and maintain entrance areas and shopping carts/baskets.
Restroom Sanitation:
Thoroughly cleaning and replenishing dispensers and public restrooms with the right chemical and fragrance to high hygiene standards.
Waste Management:
Emptying, cleaning, and sanitizing bins, as well as managing, compacting, and disposing of cardboard and plastic packaging and materials.
Spill Response:
Promptly cleaning up, sanitizing, and properly marking any spills or hazards to ensure safety.
Assess the situation and determine the appropriate cleaning method.
Clean up spills using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
Use caution signs or barriers to prevent slips or accidents.
Report any safety hazards or damages to the supervisor or manager on duty.
Equipment Care:
Safely operate and maintain cleaning machinery, such as scrubber-dryers floor polisher. Mops, brooms, vacuums etc.
Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor/maintenance manager immediately.
Follow proper storage procedures for equipment when not in use to ensure safety of our equipment.
Stock Maintenance:
Keeping cupboards clean stocked, and orderly.
