Steelman / Steel Fixer.

PLC Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Steelman/Steel Fixer with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience. The successful applicant will be responsible for cutting, bending, and fixing steel reinforcement for concrete works in accordance with construction drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Cut, bend, and fix steel bars and reinforcement mesh.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and prepare steel materials accurately.
• Tie and secure steel reinforcement using appropriate tools.
• Ensure reinforcement is properly positioned prior to concrete pouring.
• Follow all site safety rules and health regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
• Work closely with supervisors and other construction workers to meet project deadlines.
Requirements:
• Minimum four (4) years proven experience as a Steelman/Steel Fixer
• Knowledge of steel fixing tools, techniques, and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to work on construction sites.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Hours of Work:
• 45 hours per week
Rate of Pay:
• CI$8.75 per hour
