The Service Plumber is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining residential plumbing systems and fixtures to ensure high-quality service delivery. This role focuses on providing technical expertise while guiding customers toward informed repair and installation decisions.
Tasks:
Service and Repair: Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of residential plumbing systems and fixtures
Customer Interaction: Present technical findings clearly to customers to facilitate informed and confident purchasing decisions
Communication: Maintain consistent updates with dispatch, management and the installation/parts departments
Vehicle and Inventory: Oversee the cleanliness of the company vehicle and ensure truck inventory is accurate and adequately stocked
Documentation: Complete all required service reports, work orders and administrative paperwork accurately and on time
Emergency Response: Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency services as needed
Professional Development: Attend and actively participate in scheduled technical training and professional growth programs
Competencies:
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of residential plumbing diagnostics, maintenance and repair procedures
Licensing: Possession of a valid Cayman Islands Journeyman or Master Plumber Licence and Driver's Licence
Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to translate technical issues into actionable solutions for clients
Communication: Proficiency in both verbal and written communication for internal reporting and client relations
Operational Discipline: High level of organization regarding documentation, vehicle maintenance and time management
Reliability: Commitment to maintaining a clean driving record and adhering to the scheduled on-call rotation
