Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Septic Truck Driver to join our local wastewater and well services team. In this role, you will safely operate vacuum/septic trucks and high-pressure well-blowing compressor systems to pump out wastewater treatments and clear deep wells or drainage systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate Heavy Equipment: Drive and operate specialized septic vacuum trucks to pump out residential and commercial septic tanks, grease traps, and wastewater treatments.
• Well Blowing & Clearing: Set up, monitor, and safely operate high-pressure air compressors to clear blockages, blow out wells, and maintain drainage capacity.
• Site Safety: Establish secure work zones, handle heavy suction and high-pressure hoses, and strictly comply with local environmental and health-and-safety regulations.
• Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and compressor inspections, monitor pressure gauges, and handle minor mechanical upkeep on machinery.
• Plant & Service Support: Assist service technicians with the maintenance of small community sewage treatment plants and drainage infrastructure as needed.
• Customer Service: Maintain accurate daily logs of site visits and communicate professionally with residential and commercial clients.
• On-Call Availability: Be available for emergency or 24-hour service calls when required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Driving License: Hold a valid, clean local driver’s license (heavy vehicle/commercial class for the Cayman Islands) with a clean driving abstract.
• Specialized Experience: Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience operating vacuum/septic trucks and industrial air compressors or well-blowing equipment.
• Technical Aptitude: Mechanically inclined with practical knowledge of high-pressure systems, pumps, and basic pneumatic or hydraulic machinery.
• Character & Compliance: Must possess a clean police record to qualify for a Cayman Islands work permit.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in high temperatures, lift heavy hoses/equipment, and comfortably handle high-pressure lines.
