Rawlinson & Hunter in the Cayman Islands owns and operates The R&H Trust Co. Ltd. a duly licensed Cayman Islands trust company which provides a full range of trust and corporate services including the provision of corporate trustees, directors, enforcers and protectors, and also a full range of services to private trust companies.

At this time, we are inviting applications for the following full-time position.

SENIOR TRUST & CORPORATE MANAGER

The is a senior position within the firm’s trust & corporate service line. The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing management and administration of an extensive portfolio of clients consisting of companies and exempted limited partnerships, special purpose vehicles, holding companies and companies which either form part of larger corporate structures or are part of simple or complex private client structures, which may include trusts. Overall assistance in the management of the business line will be required including the direct management of staff, client portfolios, and participation in practice development and marketing, training and budget preparation and analysis. This role is predominantly corporate focused but may require the candidate to be involved in trust clients from time to time.

The role specifically includes:
• the ongoing management and administration of a portfolio of clients including the review of relevant documentation and the monitoring of ongoing responsibilities, which includes compliance with all aspects of the relevant laws;
• registration of companies and exempted limited partnerships and dealing with strike off, dissolution or transfer of companies or partnerships;
• liaising with clients and their advisers and family offices where relevant in the establishment and continuation of private client and corporate vehicles;
• provision of technical assistance, expertise, supervision and training to a team of staff and may include the preparation of training materials and ongoing trust and corporate training for staff;
• shared responsibility for business line projects/ policies and procedures implementation, and reporting including risk management and oversight, refining policy and procedures for efficiency;
• provision of company secretarial services;
• billings and receivables management, including direct liaison with clients of the same;
• attending to all regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies, the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority, and the Department for International Tax Corporation for the assigned portfolio, and more generally;
• general corporate liaison with other service lines within the firm including liaison with the firm’s accounts department regarding the preparation and review of financial statements for trusts, companies, private trust companies and special purpose vehicles; and
• identifying growth prospects, referrals and cross selling opportunities from both internal and external contacts and active participation in corporate business development.

This is a senior position that requires strong written and oral communication skills, the ability to meet frequent tight deadlines and a willingness to work overtime when required. Applicants must be highly motivated and highly organised with an ability to work on their own initiative. Computer literacy is essential with a proven record of managing staff.

Qualifications & Experience:
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or an internationally recognized professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, ICSA, STEP); and
• 5 years practical experience in a managerial capacity, including relevant experience in the administration and management of a portfolio of trust and corporate clients.

The successful applicant must therefore have significant experience and in-depth industry knowledge in the corporate and trust services field, have strong knowledge of AML and client acceptance procedures as well as an understanding of the relevant laws (local and international, where applicable) and regulatory requirements affecting corporate structures.

Benefits:
• US$125,000 to US$170,000 per annum, commensurate with qualifications and experience of the successful applicant. A full package of benefits is also offered including an annual performance based bonus, health package, pension and life insurance.
