ROOF CARPENTER.

Measure, cut, and assemble timber, plywood, and other roofing materials.
Build roof frameworks, including rafters, trusses, joists, and beams.
Install roof decking and support structures according to building plans.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Determine material requirements and layout measurements.
Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
Installation of Roofing Components
Install roof trusses, rafters, sheathing, fascia boards, and soffits.
Fit skylights, roof vents, and other structural roof components.
Ensure proper alignment and structural integrity of roofing systems.
Repair and Maintenance
Inspect roofs for damage, wear, or structural defects.
Replace damaged timber, rafters, and support structures.
Perform maintenance work to extend the lifespan of roofing systems.
5. Use of Tools and Equipment
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Use ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and other access equipment.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Safety Compliance
Follow occupational health and safety procedures at all times.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses and fall protection.
Identify and mitigate workplace hazards, especially when working at heights.
7. Team Collaboration
Work closely with contractors, builders, and other construction trades.
Coordinate roofing activities to meet project schedules and deadlines.
Assist with site preparation and cleanup as required.
