The painter will have to prepare surfaces, mix and match colors, and apply paint and stains to interior and exterior walls and structures.
Core Responsibilities
• Surface Prep: Clean walls, scrape old paint, fill holes with putty or plaster, and sand surfaces smooth.
• Site Protection: Cover floors, trim, and furniture with drop cloths and masking tape.
• Paint Application: Apply primers, undercoats, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Color Mixing: Mix and match paint shades to meet project specifications.
• Cleanup: Wash tools, store supplies properly, and return furniture to its place.
Key Skills & Requirements
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on ladders or scaffolding.
• Attention to Detail: Steady hands and precision for clean edges and smooth coats.
• Material Knowledge: Familiarity with different paints, primers, sealers, and solvents.
