MASON/PLASTERER FINISHER.

Ingenious Enterprise Ltd T/A Caribbean Construction is seeking a skilled and experienced Mason / Plasterer Finisher to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality plastering and masonry work across various construction projects while maintaining strong attention to detail, safety, and workmanship standards.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and prime surfaces for plastering.
Select appropriate plastering materials for different project requirements.
Protect non-plastering surfaces using suitable coverings and materials.
Apply plaster to both interior and exterior surfaces.
Repair and fix existing or damaged plasterwork as required.
Interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine dimensions and materials needed.
Calculate material quantities required for each project.
Set up forms, patterns, and foundations to guide construction work.
Mix mortar, grout, and other construction materials; cut and prepare building materials as needed.
Construct masonry structures following best practices and safety standards.
Remove excess mortar or grout and ensure proper finishing.
Assess alignment and structural accuracy throughout construction.
Clean, polish, and finish completed surfaces to enhance appearance.
Report structural issues or concerns to the site foreman.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a plasterer, mason, or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of plastering techniques, masonry methods, and construction materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Good mathematical skills for measuring and material estimation.
Ability to provide cost estimates and quotations for plastering work.
Proficiency with masonry and plastering tools, including trowels, saws, hammers, jointers, and power tools.
Knowledge of decorative plastering and finishing techniques is an asset.
Ability to work in outdoor environments and in varying weather conditions.
Physically fit with the ability to stand, kneel, and lift heavy materials for extended periods.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work flexible shifts including nights and public holidays.
A clean Police Record is required.
