The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out a range of masonry and construction-related duties, including, but not limited to, following blueprints, drawings, and building plans to meet the requirements and specifications of the contractor. The applicant will be required to prepare and inspect surfaces prior to commencing work, ensuring that proper groundwork and preparation are completed to support construction activities.
The successful applicant will also be responsible for fabricating, altering, repairing, and maintaining walls as required. Duties will include accurately laying concrete blocks and bricks while adhering to established construction standards and ensuring quality workmanship. The applicant will also install Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) blocks as required, contributing to energy-efficient and durable building practices.
Additional responsibilities will include plastering walls, window areas, and door jambs to achieve a smooth, finished appearance. The successful applicant will be expected to maintain a safe and organized work environment and to perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the contractor that are necessary to support the successful and timely completion of construction projects.
