Mason.

Duties may include the following:
• The employee performs skilled masonry work, building, altering, and repairing brick, stone, tile, or ceramic structures and surfaces. Using various hand and power tools, the employee smooths and finishes poured concrete surfaces, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids and use saws to cut expansion joints.
• Repair, maintain, and alter buildings, retaining walls, and other bricks or stone edifices.
• Mixes mortars; lays bricks, stones, and/or concrete sidewalks; makes and repairs steps.
• Patches and /or replaces brick or stonework chimneys
• Install and repair tile floors and/or walls
• Reads blueprints
• Plaster ceiling and/or walls
• Does carpentry work incidental to masonry work
• Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Cut materials to specified sizes for installation using power saws or tile cutters
• Cut tile, stone, or other masonry materials.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma
• Good physical condition and manual dexterity, able to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment
• Must be able to work at elevated heights for extended periods, must be knowledgeable of construction equipment and materials, and must be able to use and maneuver specialized construction tools.
• A minimum of (5) years working experience as a carpenter
• Must have a clean police record
