Maintenance Technician

The dynamic Maintenance Technician will be responsible for independently managing and executing all HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and other maintenance operations at our Luxury Resort. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this essential role requires the ability to efficiently handle rapid response requests. The role will involve skilled multi-trade repairs, preventive maintenance, strict adherence to safety and quality standards in a high-end hospitality environment.

Primary responsibilities for the Maintenance Technician role will include but not limited to the following:
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and wall vinyl repairs across guest rooms and public areas.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments to ensure equipment operates smoothly.
• Inspect and service critical building systems, including HVAC units, boilers, chillers, and electrical panels.
• Implement upgrades to improve the efficiency and performance of existing systems.
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain logbooks of all work performed including parts needed and/or parts used on all work requests.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding the status of maintenance projects.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Required qualifications and experience:
• 5-6 years of specific experience as Maintenance Technician in a Luxury Hotel environment.
• Diploma/Certificate verifying technical skills will be required.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Strong technical skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, and carpentry repairs required.
• Knowledge of machines, computers, tools and other equipment, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Heavy work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Must be able to understand the potential hazards and subsequent procedures involved in working around commercial cleaning agents and various types of machinery.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English, the primary language used in the workplace.
• Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask while being goal- and results-oriented.
• Must be flexible to work long hours and all required shifts including early mornings, late evenings/nights, weekends and public holidays.

Pay range is KYD$9.00 - KYD$12.00 hourly plus gratuities
