KITCHEN HELPER.

ICOA CAFE is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team.

Duties:
Prepare meal ingredients for the Cook, including washing, peeling, cutting and slicing ingredients.
Wash and dry all dishes, utensils, cooking instruments and cutting boards.
Removing garbage, replacing garbage bags and washing garbage cans.
Mopping and sweeping kitchen areas as required.
Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Assist with preparing vegetables, meats, sauces, and other ingredients.
Wash, peel, cut, and portion food ingredients as directed.
Clean and sanitize work surfaces, floors, storage areas, and kitchen equipment.
Receive, unpack, organize, and store food and kitchen supplies.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist with other general kitchen duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or food service environment is an asset.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen sanitation.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry food supplies and kitchen equipment.
Reliable, hardworking, and willing to perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Must have a clean police record.
