EMPLOYER: Chloe’s Choice Job Vacancy: Janitor Location: George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week) Rate of Pay: CI$ 8.75 per hour Benefits: Statutory Health Insurance, Pension Plan, and Paid Vacation Leave (in accordance with Cayman Islands Labour Law) Job OverviewChloe’s Choice is seeking a reliable, thorough, and experienced Janitor to provide comprehensive commercial and residential cleaning and maintenance services across designated client facilities in Grand Cayman. The successful candidate will ensure all client premises are maintained to the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, safety, and cleanliness. Duties & ResponsibilitiesDaily Facility Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and sanitize all interior and exterior floors, entryways, stairwells, and common corridors. Commercial Floor Care: Operate specialized cleaning machinery for floor stripping, waxing, buffing, and steam cleaning. Sanitation & Hygiene: Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms, break rooms, and kitchenettes, maintaining strict biohazard control and cross-contamination prevention standards. Waste & Refuse Management: Empty, clean, and reline all interior and exterior waste bins, sort recyclables, and dispose of commercial waste safely. Detailed Dusting & Surface Care: Wash interior windows, glass partitions, baseboards, vents, light fixtures, and wipe down high-touch contact points. Post-Construction & Site Upkeep: Perform heavy-duty post-construction site cleaning, debris removal, and surface preparation across client project sites. Inventory & Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and maintain janitorial equipment (vacuums, auto-scrubbers, carts) and report inventory shortages or mechanical faults promptly. Facility Security & Safety Compliance: Ensure facilities are securely locked after hours, display wet-floor and hazard signage during work, and report property leaks or hazards immediately. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 3–5 years of verifiable hands-on commercial cleaning and janitorial experience. Demonstrated practical experience in commercial floor care (buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing). Working knowledge of chemical safety, dilution ratios, and standard sanitation/COSHH practices. Strong physical stamina, with the ability to bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for extended periods. Punctual, dependable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work shifts scheduled between Monday and Sunday, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed. Must provide a clean Police Clearance Certificate and pass a medical fitness examination.
