HOTEL MANAGER
The Hotel Manager is responsible for the leadership, management, and execution of all hotel operations at Hampton by Hilton Grand Cayman. This role oversees Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Guest Services, and other operational departments to ensure exceptional guest experience, strong financial performance, compliance with Hilton brand standards, and an engaged team culture. The Hotel Manager serves as the property's operational leader, ensuring that day-to-day operations consistently deliver Hilton's brand promise while supporting the hotel's strategic objectives and commercial success in one of the Caribbean's premier tourism destinations.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Direct and oversee the daily operations of all non-F&B departments, ensuring exceptional guest experience throughout the property.
• Ensure full compliance with Hilton brand standards, quality assurance requirements, and local regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and presentation.
• Drive operational efficiencies while maintaining exceptional service levels and guest satisfaction.
• Lead and coordinate all departments to ensure seamless guest experiences from arrival through departure.
• Act as Manager on Duty as required and provide visible leadership throughout the hotel.
• Champion a culture of hospitality and service excellence consistent with Hamptonality and Hilton's service philosophy.
• Monitor and improve guest experience metrics, including SALT, online reputation scores, guest surveys, and review platforms.
• Respond to escalated guest concerns and ensure effective resolution of service recovery opportunities.
• Foster a guest-centric culture that consistently exceeds expectations and drives loyalty.
• Maintain the hotel's reputation as one of Grand Cayman's preferred lodging options for leisure and business travelers.
• Assist in achieving budgeted financial objectives, including GOP, EBITDA, NOI, Occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR targets.
• Monitor departmental expenses and labor productivity to ensure efficient operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and monthly performance reviews.
• Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Management, and Marketing teams to maximize market share and hotel performance.
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop department leaders and team members.
• Build a culture of accountability, excellence, engagement, and recognition.
• Lead performance management, talent development, succession planning, and training initiatives.
• Promote Hilton's values and foster a positive, inclusive workplace environment.
• Maintain high employee engagement and support retention initiatives to ensure workforce stability and continuity.
• Partner with the Engineering team to ensure all guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, and systems operate at optimal standards.
• Maintain an effective preventive maintenance program to protect hotel assets.
• Ensure timely completion of capital projects and maintenance initiatives.
• Monitor utility usage and sustainability initiatives to improve environmental performance and cost management.
• Ensure full compliance with all Cayman Islands regulations, health and safety requirements, fire and life-safety standards, and Hilton operational standards.
• Lead emergency preparedness programs, including hurricane readiness, crisis management, evacuation planning, and business continuity procedures.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training programs.
• Maintain a secure environment for guests, team members, and visitors.
• Represent the hotel within the local hospitality and business community when appropriate.
• Support initiatives that strengthen relationships with tourism stakeholders, local organizations, and community partners.
• Promote the Hampton by Hilton Grand Cayman brand through engagement that enhances the hotel's reputation and visibility within the destination.
QUALIFICATIONS :
• Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel operations leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience with Hilton PMS OnQ, OnQ R&I, GRO and Micros.
• Previous experience with Hilton-branded hotels strongly preferred.
• Caribbean resort or island hospitality experience highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success leading Rooms Division, Front Office, Housekeeping, or overall hotel operations.
