Experienced Gardener required with over 2 years’ relevant experience. Duties include watering, fertilizing, potting, repotting, pruning, grooming, propagating and maintaining plants, shrubs, ornamentals and trees; deadheading annuals and perennials; identifying and treating pests and diseases; and applying herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers and nutrients.

Experience with irrigation systems, including setup, installation and maintenance, is an asset. Duties also include preparing and grading terrain, maintaining plant beds, operating landscaping equipment such as hedge trimmers, blowers, pruners, spades and tillers, and operating/maintaining motorized tillers and sod-cutting equipment. Experience with root pruning, transporting and replanting mature trees is required.

Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a team, lift up to 70 lbs., and perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions. Must be flexible to work extended hours, weekends and public holidays as required. Random drug testing may be conducted.

Salary: KYD $8.75–$10.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.

Hours: Full-time, 45 hours per week.
