About the Role
PRO STARS LTD T/A PROSTARS CONSTRUCTION is seeking 3 Professionals with 3 years of experience as Drywall Finisher/Mason/ Metal Frame to join our site teams.
Key Duties and Requirements.
Joining drywall panels using tape and plaster.
Repairing cracks and any other damage to the drywall panels.
Concealing any imperfections or exposed irregularities in the drywall surface.
Sanding down rough areas on the wall to create a smooth surface.
Skimming the surface with a final layer of plaster in preparation for finishing work.
Managing and maintaining all the required equipment for the job.
Keeping your supervisor abreast of your progress and reporting any job-related issues.
Ensuring that all equipment and materials are used safely and effectively.
Studying construction specifications to determine installation requirements and procedures.
Preparing equipment and tools, including scaffolding, ladders, tape measures, straightedges, hand tools, and power tools.
Chalk lining reference lines and points to level metal frames and furring channels.
Measuring and cutting metal runners, studs, and furring channels to the required sizes.
Measuring, cutting, fitting, and fastening drywall boards onto the frames.
Cutting tidy openings into boards for electrical outlets, vents, and fixtures.
Installing metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents.
Ensuring compliance with construction industry specifications and safety standards.
Maintaining tools and workspace. Cutting, shaping, and dressing materials.
Lifting, carrying, and placing prepared blocks.
Reading and following technical drawings. Training apprentices.
Mixing cement and mortar. Restoring old and worn masonry.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of experience as a drywall finisher/mason/metal framer.
Valid driver’s license.
Experience working with specialized tools such as hammer drills, pneumatic nailing guns, and cutting torches.
Exceptional ability in planning installations and taking accurate measurements.
In-depth knowledge of fasteners, such as studs, nails, screws, anchors, and connectors.
Extensive experience in installing drywall panels.
Keen attention to detail and experience in overseeing general construction workers.
Physically fit and able to move and lift construction materials and assemble equipment.
Thorough knowledge of construction industry safety specifications and regulations.
Good knowledge of the tools, materials, and methods used in drywall and ceiling finishing.
Ability to interpret construction blueprints.
Knowledge of the applicable safety guidelines.
Basic math skills.
Good problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Physically fit and able to work long hours.
With a clean police record.

Hours
Standard 45 hours per week; evenings/weekends/overtime as project needs require.
