JOB SUMMARY
RIVERS ENTERPRISE is seeking an experienced and dependable Carpenter Helper / General Helper to provide assistance with carpentry, construction, maintenance, and general labor activities.
The successful applicant must have a minimum of 9-10 years’ relevant experience, be physically capable of performing manual labor, have good knowledge of construction-site practices, and be able to work effectively under the direction of a supervisor or skilled carpenter.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful applicant will be required to:
• Assist carpenters with construction, repairs, renovations, installations, and maintenance.
• Measure, cut, prepare, carry, and organize construction materials.
• Assist with framing, drywall, doors, cabinets, trim, and other carpentry-related work.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely and appropriately.
• Provide general labor assistance at construction and work sites.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Assist with site preparation and clean-up.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespersons.
• Comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants must:
• Have a minimum of 9-10 years’ relevant experience in carpentry assistance, construction, general labor, or a related field.
• Have practical knowledge of general construction and carpentry work.
• Be capable of safely using basic hand tools and construction tools.
• Own and provide their own basic tools required for the position.
• Be physically fit and capable of lifting, carrying, standing, bending, and performing other manual labor duties.
• Be reliable, punctual, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team.
• Be willing to work weekends and occasionally on public holidays when required.
• Provide two (2) professional/work references.
• Provide a current resume/CV.
• Provide a police clearance/clear police record as required.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position involves working on construction and other work sites and may require:
• Outdoor and indoor work;
• Exposure to construction materials, dust, noise, and varying weather conditions;
• Manual handling and physical labor;
• Use of hand tools and power tools;
• Weekend and occasional public holiday work when required.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary: CI$8.75 per hour.
Benefits include:
• Employer contribution toward health insurance in accordance with applicable Cayman Islands law.
• Employer pension contributions in accordance with applicable Cayman Islands law.
• 50% employer contribution toward health insurance, subject to the applicable statutory requirements and terms of the insurance plan.
